2015 Maggie Valley Motorcycle trip

Epilogue

- We were happy to welcome Pat & Christy to our group. They were a great addition and we missed them when they were gone. We hope to take more trips together.

- Despite the nagging rain it was a fun, relaxing trip. 1630 miles of smiles on some of the country's funnest roads.

- Unto These Hills in Cherokee. Visiting the Silvermont Mansion. Shopping trips to Cosby, TN and Helen, GA. Some of the things we talked about doing but didn't have time for or the rain shut us down.

- Poor Debby is still trying to get to Grandfather Mountain.

- A couple notes for future users of the rental house. It is advertised as having king/queen/queen beds. Our bed was full size. I measured it. Also, the washer/dryer is part of the half bath so sometimes the 'bath' part isn't useable if someone is doing laundry and vice versa.

- Donna is now the proud owner of a dark orange metalflake Bell 500 helmet. Now I have to switch her headset over.

- The Honda GL1800 is an awesome bike. I can't imagine touring on anything else. All the bikes were troublefree. The Helibars I installed were very comfortable and gave me better steering control. My next project is to install a gear position indicator.

- John has sold his trailer and will be building a trailer like Pat's.

- I need to find a replacement for my aging camera. I don't like it's optics and it's getting pretty scratched up.

- As always, the best part of the trip was spending time with Donna. With her the vacation is never over. It just changes location.

- The next weekend John & Debby and Donna & I returned to Berea for an overnight stay. We went to a craft show and visited several antique stores...including the one we had to rush through before. On the way home we found another huge antique place which will be spawning a day trip.

- Stay tuned for upcoming trips...

See you on the Highway!
