There is something very satisfying about our long weekend trips. We seem to do so much in a short time. A mental gorging.
Donna was a super trooper with her finger injury. She never whined, although a few F-bombs were dropped when she hit her finger on something. I hope she didn't hear me chuckle.
The bikes were trouble-free and...the radios worked great!
When I got home I found that my rain pants had been stowed in the Goldwing the entire time. They are black and were stuffed in the very back bowels of the saddlebag. Doh!
We had remarkable weather for mid-August. The rainy last day was a small penance.
My camera dried out when we got home. The jury is still out on Donna's phone. Luckily she had a spare.
Being on vacation seems to spawn ideas for other vacations. We are already pondering another one for later this year.
As always, my favorite part of the vacation was being with Donna. She is my Precious, and makes my life a continuous vacation.
The Castle street bag might need to be replaced. The handle rivets are starting to pull through, the zippers are getting stiff, and the thing is a heavy beast to carry.
We are thinking about making the pilgrimage to the Kentucky State Fair next year then continue on to points unknown. Want to join us?
