Dechroming

When I bought the Goldwing it already had several pieces of chrome on it. Some I like, some I don't. One of the things in the 'do not' category were the chrome pieces on the radiator covers. While I had the front fairing off to install some gauges I decided to remove the chrome covers. The radiator covers unscrew from the front fairing. I used a heat gun to soften up the tape that holds the chrome covers on and carefully removed them. Pretty orange radiator covers. They don't need to be hidden behind plastic chrome. I think this looks better. I left the chrome pieces in the front scoops since they match the scoops on the edges of the headlights. Update January 2012 - More dechroming.
