Windshield vent fix

The bike came with a vented Slipstreamer windshield. I noticed the vent was very hard to open. So hard that I thought I would break it. It has a ball bearing tensioned by a spring that allows it to rest in holes in one of four positions. The 'fully closed' hole was a little bigger than the others and it was hard to get the ball bearing to move out of that position.

I took the assembly apart. The screw that holds it all together was covered by a round piece of black vinyl paper. I cut a couple turns off the spring to lessen its strength. I also very lightly oiled all the moving parts. That did the trick. Now it only takes about 1/3 the effort to work the vent.
